Flag Football

It was the first game of the season today and Joshua played Center. He did an amazing job and the coach was really impressed. He was ready and focused and played his position perfectly including blocking for the quarterback after handing off the ball.

The other team won by one touchdown. Joshua didn't care though, he had a really great time. I'm so excited that he has found a sport he enjoys.
It was very cold and windy but the team stuck together!

He told me in the car that the quarterback told him that they were friends now because he blocked for him and did a good job.

Scott has spent a lot of time practicing and teaching Joshua his position and the rules. We were both very proud of him today!!

Joshy Lost Another "Toof"

Mom and Dad came for a visit this past weekend and Joshua stayed the night with them at their hotel. Joshua has had a VERY wiggly front tooth for some time, but he always said it hurt too bad to pull it. Well... Leave it to DanDad to pull Joshua's tooth with a pair of Joshua's underwear. (Yes! They were clean!!) This is how all of our teeth were pulled as kids and the tradition continues. Here are the pictures Mom sent me.

Next time you talk to Joshua ask him to say Christmas for you. It comes out "Christhmasth".

Have a great weekend!!!

Spring Break

So far this week Joshua and I have had a really great time. We have practiced football, gone to the park, had a picnic, spent any remaining gift cards we had laying around on toys, watched movies, gone to the library, started reading The Secret Garden, and many more things. Here are some pictures of what else we have done...

Practicing at becoming Mad Scientists

Time to be serious

Planted our Garden: Tomatoes, Bell Peppers, Onions, Green Beans, Carrots, Broccoli, Spinach, Lettuce, Cucumbers and Tomatillos.

Decorated Rocks for the Garden

Joshua planned and executed a war on the coffee table

time to be serious again

It has been wonderful to have this time to be silly with Joshua and not worry about anything. I really enjoy his fun and creative personality.

Yes, I'm actually watching Football...

Only because Joshua is now on a Flag Football team. His first practice is this Saturday. We are just trying it out to see if he likes it. He enjoys playing football with his friends at school, so maybe this will be something he really gets into. I will keep you all posted.
If you want to check out his practice and game schedule you can go to this link:

You are all welcome to come to his games, I'm sure he would like it.

Oh, and just as an FYI my new dog Charlie still loves me the most!
