KJ&S Confections

WELCOME TO YOUR VIRTUAL TOUR OF KJ&S CONFECTIONS!!!!
When it comes to cookies, nobody bakes them better!!! Irresistibly soft and luscious, they're made from our very own recipe using real butter, whole eggs, pure vanilla, and our special blends of flour, sugar, and chocolate.
Of course we decorate them with the greatest of care ensuring not one cookie is neglected. Each cookie is considered a masterpiece.
Chef Joshua shows off his latest creation: Chocolate Chip Cookies with Cream Cheese Icing and Rainbow Sprinkles

Taste testing is a mandatory part of each baker's job and things can get a little crazy around the bake shop with all of that sugar buzzing around!!!

But top any cookie off with a glass of milk and everything is ALL RIGHT!!!
We would love to offer you a cookie, as they are terribly delicious, but surprisingly we are all out!! Please come again and next time, come early!!!

High Jump Champion

I was looking at my wedding photos last night and came across some photos of my niece "A" as my sister refers to her. I started laughing when I put this series of pictures together. As you can see "A" really wants to catch that bouquet and she was successful.

In the first shot you can see her getting ready to leap

Then she is in the air high above all the rest, determined to win the prize

Here is our picture after her successful leap!! What a jumper!!!

I love you "A"!!!

Three Wishes

Tonight we ventured out to the mall. While Scott opted for a chair massage, Joshua and I wondered about aimlessly, bought a smoothie and decided to go wait for Scott. We sat down by the mall fountain to wait and Joshua pointed out all the coins in the water by exclaiming, "Wow, look how many wishes there are in there!" I smiled and pulled three pennies from my wallet and handed them to him. He looked up and said,"I get to make a your wishes too?" meaning wishes for myself and Scott. I said,"Sure, go ahead." He got very excited when he heard this and asked me to hold his smoothie so he didn't accidentally throw it in!

He was about to toss them in and he looked up at me and asked,"What do you want me to wish for you?" I told him to wish for happiness as I always do, it has worked so far! He faced the water and started.

1. "I wish for happiness"

2. "I wish for Shiva's leg to get better"

3. "I wish for Daddy to win the lottery"

I was touched by his sweet selfless wishes. Shiva is our seven year old dog with bad knees and one leg has been giving her a great deal of trouble lately. So Joshua used his wish for her. He never even considered keeping all of the wishes for himself.

I am so proud of my son. He truly has a heart of gold.

Just a Laugh

Mom and Dad celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on June 7th. We all got together in Austin and had a beautiful luncheon and wild and crazy boat ride. I enjoyed it so much. I know Mom will post a blog with all of the great pictures we took, so I thought I would post some that made me laugh. Don't worry, I poke fun at myself here too. I'm taking bribes if you want me to take a picture of you off. ;)

Okay, so this was more cute than funny,

but that toothless smile just makes me giggle.

It seems like my sister is wondering if she is in the right place,

Yes this is your family, believe it or not!!

Clint thought it was a costume party, Argh Matey!

M'amy finds something hysterical, most likely her husband...

Mom tells Somer her sleeve fell off and Somer calls for help

Teal honors Mom and Dad with her acapella version of "Only You"

Cody was checking for new beard growth.

I join the cake eating contest and win.

Greg is terrified of the Pirate and that girl who stole his cake!!

Okay well that's all, I hope you all got a kick out of these not so glamorous shots. Here is a good picture just so you all can see what a beautiful family we really are.

Summer Fun

Well, Joshua is officially a First Grader! He is on his summer break now. Today he wanted to cool off in the water so I pulled out the slip n slide. Here are some pics of him hamming it up for the camera.

Clint and Amy bought him his suit and shirt that you see him playing in. Joshua spent the weekend with them while I was in Houston and Scott was working. He had a great time and came back with a double holster and six shooters. I think he has only taken them off to bathe and to play in the water!!!

Since I had the camera out I also took some shots of him with his Math award. He's a super genius I tell ya... He has lost another tooth as well and I took a shot of his teeth that are growing in.

Until next time.. peace and love...

An Underwater Adventure on Dry Land

I had the opportunity while in Houston to go out to dinner with my friends from Korea that I mentioned in my previous blog. I wanted to take them somewhere fun and unique so I asked at my hotel as I am not familiar with what Houston has to offer. The desk clerk suggested The Aquarium. This turned out to be a wonderful suggestion. I have never been a big fan of Houston, but I would definitely come back just to take Joshua here.

We had a great time. There is a restaurant connected to the aquarium exhibits and we had a wonderful meal. Afterwards we all went and rode the ferris wheel and enjoyed the architecture of downtown Houston.

Until next time...peace and love...
