HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Papa To The Rescue!

This past weekend I had to work in San Angelo to open a new account for Compass Group. I brought Joshua along and we stayed at Gamo and Papa's house.
It became obvious on my first day that we were going to need some capable help since the facilities team at the account refused to work over the weekend and we had our hands full with several projects. So I asked my sweet Papa if he could help us out.
He showed up with a pickup truck full of tools and ready to work! He built a wall with a saw and hammer, hung three huge signs, helped me with some contact paper, secured a screw on the ice machine and drove me all over town helping me gather the additional things we needed. He put eight heavy kitchen shelves in the basket and then into the car at Home Depot for me. He was more help than the hired staff!! I can only hope that when I am 78 years old, I will have the same amount of energy he does!!! The manager of the opening team was so impressed that he told me to make sure and take my grandparents out for dinner on my company card, so we had a great meal at Red Lobster!!
Gamo kept Joshua entertained while Papa and I were working and he had a great time visiting with his cousins, playing with homemade play dough and eating Gamo's delicious cookies!!
It turned out to be a great weekend even though I had to work and I was busy the entire time. I enjoyed spending the time with my grandparents and so did Joshua.
Thank you Gamo and Papa!!

Sleep Over

On Friday Joshua had his best friend, also named Joshua, to the house for a sleep over. He was so excited, it was the first thing he talked about when I picked him up from daycare, and the only thing he talked about until he got here! His friend must have been excited too, his mother said he was packed and waiting by the door when she got home!
The boys played and I made them cheese pizza and fresh baked sugar cookies. Then they sat down to watch a movie with popcorn. Of course they were both so hyper they couldn't sit still, so they played throughout the movie.
After wards we cleaned up and I got them settled into bed and let them watch another movie as they fell asleep. They both crashed out pretty quickly.
They woke me up at 7:30 this morning already up and playing. I got up and made them pancakes with bacon. After they ate they played wii and then they played in the backyard. When it was time for Joshua to go home they were both a little sad, but said they would do it again soon!
I was exhausted! I'm glad Joshua had fun, but I never realized how much work just one extra kid was! Whew! I took a nice long nap this afternoon to recuperate!
Until next time...

Thanks!

Today Joshua came home from school with all the prizes he got for participating in the school fundraiser. He was very excited about them and we want to thank everyone that helped out by purchasing something.
He got a very cool Frisbee that expands and collapses and is all kinds of cool colors, a jumping ball and a pretty neat pen. Of course it's not all about the prizes, but Joshua loved it!!!
Joshua said he was the only one in his class that did the fundraiser. I think that is sad, but understandable. They are a pain, but it is for the school. So Thanks again for helping out Joshua's school!!!
